I have always been a car enthusiast. From an early age my sister and I were taken to car shows by my father and reluctant mother.
My earliest, (and now fondest memories), are of being frozen in the back of an old Jensen Morris Eight on the way back from the London to Brighton Run; dad had omitted to bring the window covers and we got drenched.
I studied Art and Education at Leeds University and my passion for vintage and classic cars has stayed with me.
I am now a member of the MGCC and regularly attend car shows around the country. My artwork featured in the MG magazine, used on the front of the Alvis Red Triangle Magazine and has been shipped as far as southern Australia. I have recently had work on exhibition in Hyde Hall and at present have paintings on show at Chelmsford Museum. I am currently on the committee for Chelmsford Art Society. I enjoy painting in watercolour, oil and waterbased oils and prefer to capture movement and motion in my paintings, rather than static images. I am heavily influenced by the work of Dexter Brown, Gordon Crosby and Rob Roy.
